Friday Fill-In's

1. A smile is a sign of a Cubs win.

2. Euchre is my favorite board or card game.

3. I would love to have more time in my life and less responsibility.

4. When I think of the Summer Solstice, I think of the longest day of the year - time to picnic!

5. I just remembered I need to call a client.

6. One of my favorite song lyrics goes like this: I raise a glass to all of us who are breaking our backs every day, if wanting a good life is such a crime, Lord than take me away.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to tacos and putting my sick kids to bed, tomorrow my plans include getting little j's 3 month pictures taken, exchanging a Cubs T-shirt and Dick's for a different size, hopefully going to the pool and then a cookout at my Uncle's house, and Sunday I want to go to Mass, the pool, enjoy a cookout with girlfriends and then cheer on the Cubs!

THINGS I HATE:
rudeness, being late, arrogance, abortion, frigid temperatures, Winter 2008, goat cheese, a dirty house, not fitting into my clothes, friends who are self-centered, a slow metabolism, men who have "girly" cell phone rings, rude cashiers, good-byes, people who drive slow in the fast lane, know-it-alls, time changes and, oh yea, did I mention Winter 2008?

THINGS I LOVE: my sons- Joshua and Joseph, my husband- Eric, my parents and sisters, sunny days, my skinny pants, shopping when I have money to spend, saving gift cards until I REALLY need to go shopping, blasting my car stereo with good old rock and roll, when a new magazine makes it into the mailbox, vacation, a phone call or letter from a friend just to check in, Mass, the beach, a good martini, reading a book I cannot put down, fireworks, a clean home, nachos, a good scary movie, the smell of cut grass and of burning leaves, and a great evening with friends and sitting outside on a warm summer night (with a glass or two of wine, of course).
I love to watch reruns on TV, I am a HUGE sports nut (GO KNIGHTS! Chicago Cubbies, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Bears, and to my husband’s dismay, I still root for the good ol’ Tampa Bay Bucs) and I am the world’s biggest fan of my family.

THINGS I WISH WOULD MAKE A COME BACK:
GOOD rock and roll, kids riding their bikes till their house lights came on, MTV with videos, the value of having a TRUE friend, MC Hammer pants, slumber parties, the thrill of an ice cream cone on a warm summer night, being a teenager with NO responsibilities, mall bangs.
